James was born in Southend in 1968. He was educated at Davenant Foundation Grammar
School and the Cambridge Centre for Sixth Form Studies before graduating with
an honours degree in law from the University of Exeter. James is married to Cathrine and the couple have one daughter, Sophie, who was born in November 2002. James' Experience James has held a number of different posts within the Conservative Party including National Vice Chairman of the Young Conservatives, Deputy Chairman of Epping Forest Conservatives as well as serving as a member of the Conservative Party's National Union Executive Committee. James was also a member of the Leader's campaign tour team during the 1994 European Elections and worked as a Press Officer at Conservative Central Office during the 1997 General Election. |
