Originally part of Essex Fire Brigade it transferred from Essex to London in 1965.

Wennington Fire Station is one of the quietest Fire Stations in London attending an average of around 550 calls each year of which approximately half are fires, the remainder are “special services” such as road accidents, chemical leaks and floods or false alarm calls.
